My name is Kelsey Nishi Darling and I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Before I founded Hawaii Calligraphy in May of 2014, I owned a jewelry company called Padma & Pickles Jewelry. I decided to try calligraphy and took Molly Jacques Skillshare class. I got totally addicted and a friend offered to host a calligraphy event for me in her boutique. We posted some of my calligraphy on social media and a few wedding vendors reached out about my work.
The rest is history!
Aside from calligraphy and sign making, my passions include gardening, ceramics and fostering abandoned domestic animals. I have two labradoodles, Padma and Penny, and three cats, Pickles, Zozo and Garfy.
I feel very grateful to be a part of Hawaii’s wedding industry. Our community is full of amazing and inspiring vendors and coordinators. I’m so excited to see what the future brings for Hawaii Calligraphy.
STUFF FOR WHEN TIMES ARE ROUGH.

While our journey has brought us some very hard days, we have also embraced all the good times and good people in our life-we make lemonade.
